Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has essentially locked in and guaranteed its 9th September 2024 release date of coming to fruition as Saber Interactive has announced the game has gone gold. This means the studio has completed work on the 1.0 version, allowing it to be pressed to physical discs. The attention of the team will now turn to making a day one patch to fix any remaining bugs and its post-launch DLC.
The news was posted to the Twitter account for Focus Entertainment, adding: «Your eternal service starts on September 9.» If you pre-order the game from the PS Store and opt for either the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition, you can get four days of early access play, from 5th September 2024.
A follow-up to the fan-favourite on PS3, Space Marine was one of the few Warhammer 40,000 titles to gain acclaim beyond the franchise's core audience, with many new players loving its co-op offerings. The sequel looks to double down on that for the PS5 audience, with release now exactly two months away.

I never played the original but this looks pretty awesome! Doubt it's a Day One but it's definitely going on my list.
Well, I hope it's better, than the original.
That one got way too repetitive, after just an hour or two, and the level design was boring.
This is gonna be a corker! Space Marine was awesome and this just ramps it all up to 11.
My wallet is looking at me with big sad eyes....
