A huge part of Skyrim's continued relevancy since its 2011 release can be massively attributed to the never-ending creativity of the modding community, which has kept the game fresh for over 11 years. Modders have even continued to use modern technology to revamp Bethesda's classic RPG, with one recent mod adding an AI-generated voiced protagonist to Skyrim. The ambition of Skyrim's modding community has been unmatched over the years, and it seems as though this will continue for some time yet.

The mod was released by mod author Ryn2g, who is known for their reworks of much of Skyrim's world. This time around, Ryn2g has focused on the games 22 dragon burial mounds, with a desire to add an updated level of detail and more interesting encounters, all while sticking to Bethesda's style of level design. The author claims that his new dragon mounds are «more consistent in their structure, more exciting to explore, and above all, should be mostly incompatibility free.» The dragons in Skyrim have been receiving particular attention from the modding community recently. One recent mod added friendly dragons to Skyrim, bringing a host of new dragon NPCs for players to interact with.
