Skull & Bones Open Beta Kicks Off Today, Watch the Launch Trailer
After beginning development in 2013 and numerous delays later, Ubisoft Singapore’s seafaring pirate action RPG, Skull & Bones, will finally set sail next week. In the meantime, you can watch the launch trailer and even jump in early with the game’s open beta, which kicks off today.
The open beta will run between February 8 and February 11 and will allow players to level up to Tier 6 Rank 1 (Infamy Brigand), but there won’t be a wipe this time. Progress made in the beta will carry over into the full game. And yes, you can play this beta to your heart’s content. Thankfully, there’s no playtime limit this time around.
Ubisoft revealed a number of details about the beta ahead of its launch today, including the ability to cross-play across the game’s PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC platforms, take part in a number of dynamic events, explore all regions of the map, and even unlock some early rewards. Those rewards consist of ship cosmetics, a weapon, an emote, and even pet a lemur named Cookie.
Skull & Bones releases for the PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC on February 16.
