Atlus has moved the up, allowing fans to play the definitive version of the 2021 RPG even sooner.
A press release from the company revealed that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will now be released on June 14, 2024 instead of on June 21 — a full week ahead of the original date. Several new screenshots from the game were also unveiled, which you can see in the slideshow below:
“When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks the protagonist’s walk home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious,” reads the game’s official synopsis. “He finds himself in a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at. Before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being, neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.”
Shin Megami Tensei V was first released worldwide exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021. It received largely positive reviews and sold well, though it was noted as having some performance issues. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will be released on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 14, 2024.
