Tauren Paladins are an established feature in retail, but in Classic, paladins can only be played by Alliance races: Humans and Dwarves. Could this change in the future? Recent lore hints suggest that at least one Tauren Paladin already exists in Season of Discovery.
In Phase 1 of Season of Discovery, as part of the method to obtain powerful Void-Touched gear, players visited the Shard of Pure Light, a powerful source of Light in order to destroy The Box. On the way to the shard, Alliance players could meet a human from the Argent Dawn named Ardelle Dralta, but Horde players could meet a Tauren — Brave Stonetorch — who would speak about a shard of Light being from An'she, the Tauren sun god.
Now, in Phase 3, Brave Stonetorch makes a return as part of the method to discover the Paladin Rune Hammer of the Righteous. One of the items required to obtain the rune is a Symbol of Faith, which is rewarded from Brave Stonetorch.
