Activision recently unveiled its «Blaze Up» event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, featuring a plethora of new cosmetics themed around marijuana. The event is set to celebrate the «4/20» holiday on April 20, an unofficial holiday celebrated by marijuana enthusiasts. The Modern Warfare 3 event has already revealed multiple exclusive gun skins and charms tied to the event, alongside new Operator skins based on popular comedians Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. Now, however, Dr. Disrespect is taking aim at Activision with regards to the new event.
Dr. Disrespect recently sounded off against Activision on his personal Twitter account, heavily criticizing the recent Call of Duty event. Dr. Disrespect chastised Activision for the use of marijuana and drugs being pushed through the recent event, while also remarking on the previous removal of fellow streamer Nickmercs' operator bundle. Dr. Disrespect went so far as to call the developers «a bunch of idiots», referring to them as the «biggest suit and tie phonies» found within the gaming industry.
