A newly unveiled oset video from the production of Marvel's Secret Invasion has revealed the return of Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill and the re-introduction of Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, the Skrull impersonator of Nick Fury. After years of a newer Nick Fury project attempting to be written, Marvel executive, Kevin Feige, finally confirmed a Fury-centric series was in development during Disney's 2020 Investor day. The series was later announced to be called Secret Invasion, revealing it to be based on the Marvel Comics run of the same name.
Joining Smulders and Mendelsohn in the star-studded Secret Invasion cast are Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Killian Scott as Fiz, and Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Coleman, Emilia Clarke, Christopher McDonald, Noel Fisher, and Carmen Ejogo all as to-be-confirmed characters. Without an official synopsis, many fans believe it will take large inspiration from the comic storyline, which featured an army of Skrulls seemingly infiltrating Earth and impersonating many of the Marvel Universe's heroes. While currently in the filming stages, the series is expected to hit Disney+ for streaming at some point in 2022.
