Steam Deck is nearing its late February release date for early reservation holders, but some developers and members of the media already have access to the device. In fact, someone has already published footage of Cyberpunk 2077 running on Valve's handheld gaming PC.
Equipped with an RDNA2 onboard graphics processor, the Steam Deck is likely to be the single most powerful handheld PC (GPU-wise) once it's finally released. Since Cyberpunk 2077 is as hardware-intensive as it is, however, many people may have expected the device to struggle running the game at any settings, even though it was part of some of Steam Deck's promotional showcases.

As the video in question shows, though, Steam Deck should be more than capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 at a playable frame rate. It's hard to tell due to the quality of the video, but the game seems to be rendered at 30-ish FPS, and it could very well be using AMD's upscaling software to improve performance, as Steam Deck will support FSR upscaling according to sources.
Even though the list of Steam Deck Verified games seems to be growing every day, Cyberpunk 2077 isn't currently on it. The nitty-gritty of how the game performs and at what settings will be interesting to delve into, but simply knowing that the device can handle this particular title just fine should help with performance concerns to some extent.
In practical terms, Valve's Steam Deck really is just a handheld PC that runs SteamOS 3.0, so it shouldn't be too big of a surprise to see almost any game run on it.
