New set photos from Marvel's Secret Invasion show tease the return of Don Cheadle as War Machine. The Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded to the small screen last year at last thanks to Disney+. Secret Invasion is one of many shows in development for the streaming service, and stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. The show is the MCU's adaptation of the classic comic crossover event from Brian Michael Bendis, which revealed the shape-shifting aliens known as Skrulls had infiltrated Earth and replaced major world leaders and superheroes. Secret Invasion featured just about every major Marvel character, but that won't be the case for the Disney+ series.
The cast for Secret Invasion is officially limited in terms of returning MCU characters at this stage. Outside of starring Nick Fury and Talos, the only other known character confirmed to appear is Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). Secret Invasion's cast otherwise includes a great collection of actors playing mysterious new roles, such as Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Kingsley Ben-Adir. This hasn't stopped speculation from mounting about what other MCU characters could appear in Secret Invasion, especially since the show is expected to tie directly into The Marvels. However, the show's secretive production has not let many details leak about who is and is not part of the ensemble.
