Fresh Secret Invasion set images reveal the MCU's new U.S. president. Production is ongoing for the upcoming Marvel Studios/Disney+ series spearheaded by Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. The show will see reteam with Ben Mendelsohn's Talos the Skrull for a new mission. Aside from its primary narrative, Secret Invasion will also inform fans of the overall status of the globe which involves the American political climate with the introduction of the country's newest leader.
Unlike many MCU Phase 4 projects that were announced during San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Secret Invasion wasn't officially confirmed until Disney Investor Day 2020. Prior to that, there were rumors that Marvel Studios was working on a Fury-led show, although it was unclear what it was going to be. Ultimately, given the character's ties to Skrulls as seen in both Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home, it makes sense that he's involved in the alien race's ongoing Earth movements. Plot details are still scant at the moment regarding the series, but it appears to have political undertones in it as the show will, at the very least, tackle supposed international tensions among several countries.

Given that, Secret Invasion will also debut President Ritson, the newest leader of the free world, at least in the MCU. The revelation comes from a string of images from the show's production which includes a snap of a fictional newspaper that reads«President Ritson in London for Emergency Talks.» The front page features an image of the American president with Rhodey (Don Cheadle).
