While many details surrounding Marvel Studios' upcoming Secret Invasion series are kept under wraps, the growing list of cast members has fans intrigued as to what is cooking up. Now, it appears that the cast is bigger than most people thought, as Samuel L. Jackson has revealed that Martin Freeman's Everett K. Ross will make an appearance in the show.
Freeman first tapped into his Marvel role in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, playing a member of the CIA's Joint Counter Terrorism Center and a character who is associated with other heroes such as Black Panther. He would then return in 2018's Black Panther, where he helps T'Challa, Nakia, Shuri, and the Dora Milaje in stopping Killmonger and his army from distributing shipments of Wakandan weapons to operatives around the globe.

During a recent on-stage talk titled Samuel L. Jackson In Conversation With Josh Horowitz in New York City, Jackson praised his fellow Secret Invasion cast members like MCU newcomers Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman. At one point, Jackson also adds Freeman's name to the list, letting it slip that he will indeed be reprising the role as agent Ross in the series. Until now, Freeman's involvement had not been confirmed by anyone involved with Secret Invasion.
While Freeman was already confirmed to star in the highly anticipated sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (which is set for a November 2022 release), and since his name was not confirmed to be a part the Secret Invasion cast, it will be interesting to see how big of a role he plays in the series.
