Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launched earlier this week and the initial reaction is the game is pretty great. The Skywalker Saga affords you the chance to play through all nine of the core Star Wars movies. There are even a few elements from spinoff movies and shows like Rogue One and The Mandalorian added through DLC, with more to come over the course of the next few weeks.
Yes, The Skywalker Saga is a lot of fun, but what players really want to know is how its mechanics can be exploited. They also want to know if the game's children are affected when you strike them with a lightsabre. Even if you do think that's an awful thing to want to know, you can guarantee it will cross the mind of every single person who plays this game as soon as they see a child for the first time.

If you play through the games in episode order, then you'll find a child pretty quickly. Young Anakin Skywalker is a core character in Episode 1, and as you can see in the clip below, he can indeed be struck with a lightsabre. Fear not, as doing so will not reduce the man who will become Darth Vader into nothing more than a pile of bricks. It will simply make him glow red as he gets knocked into the air and falls to the floor, which is somehow worse.
There is a silver lining to hurting children in The Skywalker Saga. If you keep striking them with your lightsabre, Anakin, or whichever youngling you pick on, won't have the chance to return to the ground before being flung up into the air again. That will allow you to sort of levitate, aiding you in crossing gaps you otherwise wouldn't be able to navigate, and even allowing you to ascend straight up into the air
