LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga provides just the latest interpretation of the iconic film series, and includes a location unseen prior to the release of The Book of Boba Fett. The Disney+ show sees Temuera Morrison reprising his role as Boba Fett and taking over Jabba the Hutt's role as Daimyo of Mos Espa and its surrounding area on Tatooine. The Book of Boba Fett is itself not retold in LEGO Skywalker Saga, but it shares many locations with the game, mainly in the levels based on The Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi.
Jabba's Palace was first seen in 1983 when Return of the Jedi released, but has become a central location in The Book of Boba Fett while under the control of the eponymous bounty hunter. Although LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga's crunch is obvious, the developers had great attention to detail, not only in creating the environments, but also with the inclusion of references to Star Wars media outside of the mainline films. Even de-canonized material is referenced throughout the game, but recent releases like Boba Fett have been used to flesh out locations like Jabba's Palace and introduce new scenes to the well-known stories.

In Return of the Jedi, the hangar of Jabba's Palace is never shown. When the movie transitions from scenes inside Jabba's Palace to those showing the cast traveling toward the sarlacc pit, it cuts to the barge and two skiffs already speeding across the Dune Sea. LEGO Skywalker Saga instead adds a different scene where the barge and a single skiff are seen leaving.
