LEGO Star Wars: How To Unlock Roger (A Search For Knowledge Guide)
Roger is one of the unique characters to unlock in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, returning from LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There are a number of special characters in the LEGO Star Wars roster that aren't seen anywhere throughout the game's nine episodes, including the famous Battle Droid Roger. Also known as «R0-GR», Roger is a B1 Battle Droid that was able to live through a number of major battles, allowing him to travel the galaxy later on.
Although Roger is a Battle Droid, the character is under the Extras class in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Unlike the other classes, there isn't anything special about the characters in the Extras other than their appearance in the game. Furthermore, Roger doesn't have any ranged weapon, so players using him will have to solely rely upon close-quarters combat. Roger is also one of the more extensive characters to unlock in the game as his side missions are tied to the progress of other characters as well.

Roger can only be unlocked from the A Search For Knowledge side mission that is given by the Aspiring Scholar in Theed, Naboo. The Aspiring Scholar offers a number of side missions in the game, including those that unlock Fode and Beed in LEGO Star Wars, as well as Sebulba. However, Roger can only be unlocked after all of the side missions leading up to Sebulba are completed. This also means that Fode and Beed will have to be unlocked before Roger's side mission can be started. Since there is so much to do beforehand, it's best to complete the Story Mode of every Episode in the game so that all locations are available by the time Roger can be unlocked.
