Actor Danny Sapani says the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will amaze audiences. Sapani, who played Border Tribe leader M'Kathu in the first Black Panther, is reprising his role in the long-awaited sequel, with much of the original cast and crew returning as well. Despite the absence of the late Chadwick Boseman, Sapani, along with other fellow cast members, will be returning to more expanded roles in an MCU sequel hoping to be worthy of its predecessor.
Black Panther was released by Disney and Marvel Studios in 2018. Not only was the project both a box office and critical hit, but it became the first Marvel film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Without Boseman, who passed away from colon cancer in August 2020, there will be more focus on the supporting characters in Wakanda Forever, with Letitia Wright's Shuri, T'Challa's sister, expected to take on a lead role. Sapani's Black Panther 2 return was confirmed last month, and the actor will be one of many familiar faces coming back, as well as Wright, Lupita N'yongo, Angela Bassett, and Winston Duke, to name a few.
