Today, as part of CES 2024, Samsung unveiled a new partner accessory program designed specifically for its Samsung Gaming Hub streaming discovery platform.
Jiho Ha, Head of Service Partnerships Group at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement:
Samsung recognizes the indispensable role of accessories in elevating gaming experiences. Building on our already-high level of compatibility, the ‘Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub’ program will see us collaborating with trusted partners to craft accessories that further enhance the premier experience of the Hub.
From now on, gamers can expect to see the 'Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub' badge applied to products rigorously tested to ensure their compatibility, quality, performance, safety, and security with Samsung devices. The first such product will be PDP's freshly announced REPLAY Wireless Controller. This gamepad includes a built-in rechargeable battery for up to 40 hours of playtime per charge, a 30-foot range low-latency Bluetooth wireless connection, a Samsung Gaming Hub home button that launches the platform right away, an easy-to-use TV volume and power control button, and more. The REPLAY Wireless Controller can be pre-ordered via PDP's official website and will be available at a later time on retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
Of course, users are still very much able to use their own Bluetooth or wired (USB)controllers. This is the official compatibility list: Microsoft Xbox Series X/S controllers, Xbox One controller, Xbox 360 controller, Xbox Elite Wireless controller Series 2, Xbox Adaptive controller, PlayStation DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers, Amazon Luna controller, Nvidia Shield controller, Logitech F310, F510 and F710 controllers, PowerA MOGA XP5-X Plus
