Pocketpair’s Palworld, a survival crafting title meets Pokemon-style creature collector, is now on PC via Steam Early Access and Xbox Series X/S via Game Preview. It’s also playable on Game Pass. Check out the launch trailer below.
Akin to Ark: Survival Evolved, the player is washed up on a mysterious archipelago, where they must make shelter, find food sources and fight for survival. The difference is that it’s populated with creatures known as Pals, who can be captured and assist in resource collection, cooking, and more. Of course, you can also take them into battle, utilizing their unique abilities or simply giving them SMGs and Assault Rifles.
At the moment, Palworld offers over 100 Pals to collect, more than 70 types of buildings and +350 items. Though there’s no PvP or crossplay, Pocketpair is looking into the same, with early access planned to last for a year. Stay tuned for more details, and in the meantime, check out our review here, where we award it a 7 out of 10.
