In 2015, developer Supermassive Games released its first interactive drama horror game, Until Dawn. The gameplay involved quick time events and decision-making that ultimately determined the fates of the characters. Since then, the developer has gone on to create a series of anthology games with the same type of gameplay, titled The Dark Pictures Anthology. The next installment will be titled The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me.
Supermassive Games has released a new Dark Pictures Anthology installment every year since the first one released in 2019.The Devil in Me is set to hit shelves later this year, and now we may know just when the game will come out.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me was officially revealed in October of 2021and currently doesn't have a set release date but will hit shelves sometime in the fall of this year. Traditionally the games have been released near Halloween, with the last two installments released in late October. A recent post from Aggioranmenti Lumia indicates that the game will be pushed back a month from the traditional release date. Aggioranmenti Lumia regularly posts alleged leaks. According to Lumia. This particular release date does seem a bit odd. As mentioned before, the games are traditionally released in the fall and usually before Halloween in order to capitalize on the season. Even stranger is the fact that November 30th falls on a Wednesday as video games are traditionally released on either Tuesday or Friday.
