The numbers that are going around right now suggest that developers could have spent as much as $2 billion. That’s quite a massive number, but again, for a game series that had seen $1 billion just a matter of days from the last release, Rockstar Games could see a repeat in terms of units sold with this next game installment. Unfortunately, the amount spent to develop the game is not confirmed, so this is just a rumor right now.
