Fortnite may soon collaborate with post-apocalyptic RPG franchise Fallout, if the word of a popular leaker is to be believed. This conclusion comes on the basis of similar past activity of developer Bethesda before announcing a crossover of one of its franchises with Fortnite.
Thanks to a brand-new TV series adaptation of Fallout, the RPG series is currently trending and attracting a slew of new fans. If a certain rumor is true, the franchise could be set to continue its momentum with a well-timed crossover with Fortnite. Over the years, numerous popular franchises---in gaming and beyond---have collaborated with Epic Games' popular battle royale game. And, it now appears Fallout may be joining the lineup later this month.
In a recent tweet, reputable leaker ShiinaBR pitched that a Fortnite-Fallout crossover may be on the cards as Fallout 4 is set to be available on Epic Games Store on April 25. This theory draws from a similar scenario in the past where The Elder Scrolls Online collaborated with Fortnite at the time of its Epic Games Store launch. Due to the fact that Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises belong to the same developer, Bethesda, there's a good chance the leaker's theory may materialize.
Bethesda recently announced that Fallout 4 will receive a large update on the day of its arrival on Epic Games Store. As confirmed by the developer, this content refresh will bring features, including support for wide and ultra-wide screens, new in-game content, and bug fixes. In addition to that, the game will also join the list of Steam Deck-verified titles on the same day.
