Pokemon has revealed a Strange Paradox merch line coming to the Pokemon Center later this month, and the first Paradox Pokemon to get their own plushes will be a part of the new collection. Paradox Pokemon were introduced to the series in Scarlet & Violet, and three of them have been selected to get the plush treatment, all going on sale with the rest of the Strange Paradox range from May 18. The only caveat for now, and it's a common one when it comes to new Pokemon merch, is they will be Pokemon Center Japan exclusives.
That doesn't mean they won't eventually be available in the US and elsewhere. Considering the popularity of Pokemon plushes, it seems incredibly unlikely that they will be Japan exclusives forever. It might be a while before they show up on other Pokemon Center storefronts though, but there will be ways to get them shipped if you don't want to wait. It's just going to cost you quite a bit extra as you will need to pay for them to be transported halfway around the world.
The three Paradox Pokemon getting plushes next week are Scream Tail, Flutter Mane, and Slither Wing. A fourth non-Paradox Pokemon, but also a Pokemon that was introduced via Gen Nine, getting a plush is Chien-Pao. According to Pokeshopper.net, Scream Tail and Flutter Mane will be 2,970 yen ($20) each, Chien-Pao's plush will be slightly more expensive at 3,520 yen ($23), and the priciest plush will be Slither Wing which is priced at 4,400 yen ($29).
A lot of other stuff in the Strange Paradox collection has also been announced, and it will all be added to Pokemon Center Japan on May 18. T-shirts, figures, keychains, and cushions all featuring Paradox Pokemon designs. Not necessarily a surefire sign that they will be a core mechanic in more Pokemon games moving forward, but probably a strong indicator that we will see them again. Especially when the little we know about Pokemon Legends Z-A implies time travel will be a part of the game in some way.
