As confirmed by a delightfully moody trailer narrated by Stellaron Hunter (and key character) Kafka, the uber-popular turn-based gacha RPG Honkai: Star Rail will finally release on PS5 from 11th October. The small print at the end of the trailer mentions that the game is a PS5 console exclusive for a “limited time”, so presumably it will launch on other platforms later.
Interestingly, the game’s current update, Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins, is scheduled to run until around 10th October, so it looks like the PS5 version will release alongside the next major revision, which will include new character banners, story content, and events. We’ll obviously keep you updated through until launch – and, of course, beyond.

is it cross platform, i.e. will I be able to pickup my iOS save on PS5?
They still haven't bought Genshin Impact to platforms other than PS5 and PS4… Even tho their promised a Switch version. I don't expect this one to come to other platforms as well.

Very happy that I won't have to wait a long time to try this on the PS5. I tried playing it on my phone but since it's not one of the newer models, it was quite laggy and I had to uninstall it.
I've sort of said to myself, after putting in FAR too much time into Genshin Impact, that I would wait until the whole game is released in X years and then play it start to finish.
