Clockwork Labs has found the right musical talent to bring their independent, cross-platform MMORPG, Bitcraft to life, as it gets closer to alpha. Composer Austin Wintory will compose the game’s music along with Canadian composer and vocalist, Rachel Hardy.
Bitcraft is set for alpha sometime in early 2024, will place you in the Age of Automata, and important time in the game world. You will figure out how to create your own legend by working and exploring and creating on your own or collaborating with others in this sandbox world. it will be one world that you can have an impact on and you can create or participate in different civilizations with gameplay that emphasizes creation. This means things like building, crafting, hunting, farming, trading, and of course, exploration.
The team emphasizes freedom and things to discover within the game's world, like ruins, a sense of history, artifacts, flora and fauna, and more that should influence you to decide what kind of a future you'll create in this world. Maybe you and others will make a huge city together or have a quiet life in a small village.
Wintory is an award winning composer known for work on games like Flow , Journey , Assassin's Creed Syndicate , The Banner Saga franchise, and most recently, Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musica l. Clockwork Labs’ co-founder commented, in a release, on why they thought he’d be the perfect fit for the world they’re creating. “A game that pushes the boundaries of what an MMORPG can do needed a remarkable soundtrack, so it was only natural that we reached out to the incomparable Austin Wintory to craft a one-of-a-kind score for our release,” he said.
