Update: A PR rep for Resolution Games has reached out to us regarding the upgrade path for Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs. Those that already own the game on PSVR can upgrade to the PSVR2 version for a fee of $9.99.
Original Story: Resolution Games and Rovio are bringing the virtual reality spin on Angry Birds to PSVR2. Titled Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, the game has been on the original PSVR for several years, but will soon be available for Sony's much more advanced headset.
Launching on 10th October, it appears the game will be a relatively straightforward port, although it'll of course be making use of the PSVR2 Sense controllers for vastly improved accuracy. Playing more or less like the beloved mobile game, you pull back on a slingshot to fire various birds at precarious structures, knocking down as much as you can — including those pesky pigs. We enjoyed it in our review of the PSVR version, noting that, although it doesn't do anything revolutionary, it's still an «enjoyable experience all the same».
