Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser establishes new studio Absurd Ventures
Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser has announced the establishment of Absurd Ventures, a media company which will create new intellectual property across all platforms and formats.
“Absurd Ventures is building narrative worlds, creating characters, and writing stories for a diverse variety of genres,” reads the press release, “without regard to medium, to be produced for live-action and animation; video games and other interactive content; books, graphic novels, and scripted podcasts.”
Dan Houser commented, “We are building Absurd Ventures to create new universes and to tell great stories, wherever and however we can.”
In addition to co-founding Rockstar Games, Houser was also the creative director and lead writer of the Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and Bully franchises, among others.
