Renown has been a hot topic for many players since the launch of Diablo 4 — after all, completing your Side Quests, exploring zones, and finding all of the Altars of Lilith is no easy task! It makes sense then that many players dreaded repeating the process during Seasonal resets, but don't worry: Blizzard has been listening and implementing some great changes. Season 1 Developer Update Summary Diablo 4 Renown Overview During the Developer Livestream Update, Blizzard announced that Altars of Lilith and discovered Map locations would be permanent — meaning that any progress you make right now on these Renown categories will carry over to your Seasonal characters. This may not seem too significant at first, but let's do some math, using Kehjistan as an example:
Total Renown needed for the first two Renown Tiers: 500 Total Renown from all Altars of Lilith: 310 Total Renown from all Areas Discovered: 270By spending the time to fully explore the world of Sanctuary now, gathering all Area Discoveries and Altars of Lilith as you go, you can gain a total of 580 Renown in Kehjistan, barring any other type of Renown gain. This means that on day one of the Season, your fresh, level 1 character who hasn't left that snowy cave near Kyovashad yet will instantly be able to claim +1 Potion Capacity and +1 Skill Point — and you can do this for every zone. This weekend is the perfect time to grind these out — after all, you'll only ever have to do it once! Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4
