Some topics in the Diablo community will always spark controversy — Stash space, drop rates, itemization, and the in-game Shop have all been hot topics burning their way through circles of Wanderers since Diablo 4 launched. We've got our own opinions: read on to find out more about our take on the Stash in Diablo 4! The only conversation more heated these days than the subject of gear is where to store it. The Stash has been the subject of debate and discussion since the very first Diablo franchise, and Diablo 4 is no exception. While the recent developer talk touched on one planned update to Gems that affects the stash (turning Gems into a Material rather than an item), they were cagey on the subject of planned changes to the Stash in general. No matter what, we're always going to want more storage. While 200 slots sounds roomy (50 slots on 4 tabs), it quickly gets overcrowded if you run even one alt, much less two or three, particularly if they're different classes. With smart loot, you're going to end up with a lot of stored gear! Saving items and extracted Aspects for future alts or for possible respecs is a bag stuffer. What follows (in no particular order) is our wish list for the Stash going forward.
Wish 1: More space, more tabs.There is a lot of empty real estate at the bottom of the stash that's taken up by an attractive but useless graphic. There's ample space to add 2 more stash rows, giving each tab 70 slots instead of 50 — a total of 80 slots across all four tabs.Nice mural, or 20 more stash slots? Hmmm... There's clearly room for eight tabs, not just the four tabs we can get now. Why wait? Most of us would be more than happy to spend more gold to get more tabs. Diablo 3 allowed players to earn more
