Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced that Season 10 of the game will kick off on March 8 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, and will offer a hot hatchback to collect as part of the new Rocket Pass. The Volkswagen Golf II GTI will be unlocked immediately for holders of the premium Rocket Pass, and once it has been leveled up, an upgraded Volkswagen Golf GTI RLE can also be unlocked.
Other highlights of Season 10 include the new Deadeye Canyon arena variant, an upcoming limited-time event that will take place later this season and has a «car-focused spin» according to Psyonix, and the introduction of an average wait time counter that will replace the playlist population display. Tranquil Competitive Tournament rewards will debut this month, and Season 9's competitive rewards will be distributed shortly after the start of Season 10.
There will be a game update to download on March 7 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET, to prepare Rocket League for the months ahead.
In other Rocket League news, Psyonix recently announced that it was taking steps to introduce additional anti-cheat functionality into its game. Bots infiltrating online matches has been a constant concern in Rocket League, and the developer began taking action earlier this year when it started handing out bans to accounts that were found to have used bots since the end of 2022.
