Sony will be broadcasting a PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation later today, which will very likely feature the introduction of the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Announcing the presentation on Monday, Sony said it the show will “focus on PS5 and innovations in gaming technology”.
The presentation will be hosted by PlayStation‘s lead architect Marc Cerny, and can be viewed in the embedded video above.

According to a leak which may now have been confirmed by Sony, PS5 Pro’s design will be similar to the PS5 Slim. The main difference is expected to be the addition of three black stripes across the middle of the system, differentiating it from the most recent console model.
Following the announcement of the presentation, various players subsequently spotted an unlisted video on the platform holder’s YouTube channel titled ‘PS5 Pro’.It has since been retitled ‘PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation – September 10’.
It’s currently unknown when the pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 console will go live, but, if Sony follows a similar pattern to when it announced the PlayStation 4 Pro, it’s likely that the console will be made available for pre-order shortly after the presentation. No price is currently known for the PS5 Pro.
It’s unlikely that Sony debuts new video games during this presentation, though it may show how the PS5 Pro can run existing games.
It’s expected that later this month there will be a State of Play broadcast, according to some journalists. This is a more likely venue for new games to be introduced.
Sony’s biggest game of the year, Astro Bot, was released last week. Sony’s next significant release is Lego Horizon Adventures, it’s possible that the release date for this game is shown off alongside the PlayStation 5 Pro.A release date briefly appeared on the PlayStation Store before being removed.
