Play As Seven Characters In Roguelite RPG Children of Morta, Out Now
Children of Morta has finally made its way to mobile. It’s an action RPG with a solid story and roguelite elements. Originally released in 2019, this game might even remind you of The Banner Saga. Dead Mage is the game’s developer while Playdigious is the publisher on mobile.
At the centre of the game is a heroic family known as the Bergsons. They’ve been defending the land of Rea for centuries. But now, with a looming ancient evil threatening everything, it’s up to them to push back against the Corruption.
The Bergson family is made up of seven playable characters. An unusual hack-and-slash RPG, the game lets you upgrade gear and skills for each member of the entire family. Each run in Children Of Morta is different.
The cool thing is, you can switch between all seven characters to make sure you have the right person for the job. And that of course depends on how things are going in the procedurally generated dungeons.
What lies amidst the epic battles and monster-slaying action is the emotional storyline in Children of Morta. It’s filled with love, loss, sacrifice and hope, which keeps you invested in the fate of the Bergsons. You’ll see the lengths they’re willing to go to protect each other.

The Complete Edition of Children of Morta comes with the Ancient Spirits and Paws and Claws DLCs. And there’s an upcoming online co-op mode that’ll let you team up with a friend. The game is priced at $8.99 generally. But they’re giving a 30% discount to celebrate the mobile launch. So, check it out on the Google Play Store, if you want to.
Children of Morta has pretty 2D-pixel art style handcrafted animations which make its dungeons, caves and landscapes look amazing. The mobile version comes with a Cloud Save option. Also, if you’re more comfortable with a controller, the game’s got you covered there, too.
