Like other games in the series, it is possible for players to romance their companions. Given the scale of the conflict in, Rook must recruit a few friends and experts from around northern Thedas to aid them in their quest against the blighted gods. This group of seven companions, plus Rook and their advisors, becomes something of a found family over the course of the game.
Each character in Rook's party in has a personal arc that plays out via their companion quests, arguably some of the strongest side content in the game. These personal arcs can be compelling on their own and can grow even deeper if Rook enters a relationship with one of their companions. While specifics for each relationship vary, the process for initiating a romance with a companion in is uniform across all seven companions.
All seven of Rook's main party members in are available romance options, and, similar to or, they can be romanced by a Rook of any species and gender. Each one comes from one of the six factions, plus Scout Lace Harding from the Inquisition. Rook's romance options, their species and class, their general personality, and their faction appear below.

Each companion has their own values and may not always agree with Rook's decisions.
In general, most romances in can be initiated after completing the quest to recruit each member of the party. Rook will need to visit the companion in their room in the Lighthouse to welcome them to the team headquarters.
