Levels, bells, friendship levels, items, saved outfits, and layouts will all be preserved, so many players will be able to carry on as normal after transferring the data. The major differences players will experience will be to do with the new content now available in the game.

The new app also caters to decorators and designers, allowing players to save many different layouts for their camps and accessorize their planners with stickers. Seasonal events will still take place and be held on a four-year cycle, but players will be able to include more animals they were not able to meet in the previous game. Since the new app is bought with a one-time payment, and will not include the monthly subscription that had, many of the features originally included in Pocket Camp Club will be moved to the base game. This includes the Merry Memories, Happy Helper, and Furniture & Fashion plans, which were all previously available for players to subscribe to separately.
