Searchlight Pictures has shared the final trailer for. The biopic Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet as he plays the role of legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. The film will be arriving in theaters this Wednesday, December 25. Its Christmas theatrical release date will see the film go up against Focus Features’ gothic horror Nosferatu and Paramount Pictures’ Robbie Williams musical biopic Better Man.
“Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s, the film follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan’s meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts — his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation — culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

The final trailer features Chalamet’s Bob Dylan, who changes the industry with his music. It also highlights how Dylan handled his success and fame. The video also shows off the positive reviews that the movie has been receiving since its premiere in Los Angeles earlier this month. At the moment, it currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 77% on Rotten Tomatoes.

A Complete Unknown is directed by James Mangold from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jay Cocks based on author Elijah Wald’s book titled Dylan Goes Electric. The cast also includes Edward Norton as Peter Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and P.J. Byrne as Harold Leventhal. Producers are Fred Berger, Mangold, Alex Heineman, Bob Bookman, Peter Jaysen, Alan Gasmer, Jeff Rosen, and Chalamet. It is executive produced by Dylan along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Andrew Rona.
