In between all the fights and missions in , Rook and their team have a place to call their own to relax and strategize called the Lighthouse. This large space, located in the Fade safely away from the Evanuris and their allies, has rooms for each companion as well as communal areas. And like all good RPG bases, the Lighthouse can be customized with six themes available for purchase that reflect the different locations and factions within .
The Lighthouse once belonged to Solas, and the hub will open up and change as the story progresses, allowing everyone to have a space to make their own. There are several secret Lighthouse areas to unlock with hidden rooms and puzzles for Rook to solve to get loot. Most Lighthouse themes can be bought from faction merchants at shop rank three and can be changed via a podium in the main area between Rook’s room and the infirmary. And with seven possible themes, every Rook should be able to put their stamp on the Veilguard’s base of operations.
The first Lighthouse theme is the default when first arriving at the base and is the original decoration that Solas had when he lived there.This theme is very minimal and basic with pots and side tables along the walls of the main library area. It is very functional and speaks to Solas’ priorities, where even the area at the top of the main Lighthouse structure named the Wolf’s Den is sparsely decorated. With this theme, the courtyard area has no decoration with only the central monument just behind the Caretaker’s station adding any personal touches.
The area that has the most decoration with Solas’ theme is the central library and meeting area. Here, bookcases line the walls high up and out of reach, adding to the bookcases in the room. The meeting area has yet more bookcases as well as a few pots and side tables. Overall,this theme works well for when the team first arrives at the Lighthouse and explores the space, as they have other concerns than the aesthetic of their new home. However,
