Now that is in a staple place, BioWare has shared they have no further plans for major updates to the game. Despite releasing just last October, this new entry into the franchise has seen some mixed reviews from fans and overall lacked the player numbers that EA anticipated. With some players adoring the game's new styling and others reminiscing on the past, the game is in quite a peculiar spot all around.
After the release of final update, Patch 5, BioWare's patch notes to be bidding farewell to the game with any future content updates. Despite not being completely clear, the update's inclusion of thanking fans for picking up the game and a concluding set the tone that this is it. While the game was only released a few months back, its success has been less than anticipated, potentially leaving the game abandoned sooner than anticipated.
With the game's newest update including a few bug fixes and the helpful addition of recommended levels, it seems like this is it for. With BioWare expressing that the game is now in a "", it would seem they've decided to leave it in the best place possible as the team moves on to new things. That's not to say this news isn't disappointing, however, as many have been eager for more from this new entry into the franchise.

While players were already aware that would not be receiving any DLC, it still seems very soon for the game to be completed without further updates. Perhaps due to the recent news that EA anticipated over 3 million players in the first 2 months and hit just 1.5, it would indicate that the game just can't be BioWare's focus any longer. While it's not completely clear that this is the end, it does seem rather unlikely for the latest update to have thanked fans and bid farewell if the team were planning to deliver more.
