The January patch of has refreshed residential lots of the base game. Willow Creek and Oasis Springs now have even more personality. Each home feels like the pre-made townies really live there, with decor and objects tailored to their traits and stories. These lots are automatically added to new games, but there is a way to update existing saves. It is worth the time, as it will give you a great reason to visit these Sims.
Some of these homes were already fairly good but were even more fitting for families of various sizes. Once updated, you might want to quickly socialize your way into the new homes of the Calientes or Goths. But, it is a question of whether you want to be a friendly roommate or a new spouse or are just stealing a lot for yourself. There is also the option of evicting the intended family in the process of your renovations in .
This refresh has affected all the original families released with the original. This includes the Pancakes, BFFs, Goths, Spencer-Kim-Lewis, Landgraabs, Calientes, Roomies, and Zest. Uninhabited homes are untouched but could be improved in the future.
Every bedroom is now personalized and easily identifiable. They may reflect a Sim’s traits, jobs, aspiration, or default skills. For example, Gavin Richards has a computer and easel to use his Creative and Muser Traits. Best of all, Johnny Zest finally has a two-person bed, implying he is ready to invite Sims for a romantic evening.
Many of the houses also have extended lore. The Pancakes has allocated space for a newborn, implying that the birth of Iggy Pancakes will happen soon. However, Bob and Eliza are still rather cold around each other. Their home even now has a basement area that acts as a quiet respite for Bob Pancakes, complete with a bar and spare TV.
The Gallery is a great way of sharing lots in The Sims 4. But, without testing parts of them your creations can be broken for other players.
