Surviving the fight against the Absolute in requires a mix of creative cunning and powerful abilities and decent amount of health. But nothing is more important to the party's survival than their hit points. Put plainly, the more HP a character has, the more likely they are to stay conscious in combat.
No matter your character's build in or fighting style, it behooves them to have as much health as possible. There are several items, spells, and character choices that can send one's HP higher and higher. This begs the question: What is the maximum number of hit points a character can have in, and how can one attain it?
One must make several choices in character creation before the game even begins to reach the health cap of. First, you must become a barbarian, the class which gains the most hit points per level: twelve at first-level, and seven at each subsequent level. You must also choose a specific race: the gold dwarf, which gains one additional hit point at each level. At some point later on, this character must also pick up the tough feat, providing two extra points of health per level.

There are two spells that are also crucial to attaining maximum health: Heroes' Feast, and a sixth-level casting of aid.
