Ubisoft has revealed a new entry in an iconic action adventure platformer series, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which will be coming out on 18th January 2024.
The game sees the Prince kidnapped with a group called the Immortals needing to step up to fill his wake against a number of dangers. This is a side-scrolling action adventure, but that doesn’t mean it’s got any less modern gaming attitude. In fact, with the music in the background, the thoroughly modern hairstyle and the finishing moves, “attitude” is a defining aspect of this game.
Here’s the blurb from Ubisoft:
Dash into a stylish and thrilling action-adventure platformer set in a mythological Persian world where the boundaries of time and space are yours to manipulate.
Play as Sargon and evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.
More will be shown during Ubisoft Forward on 12th July.
Note, this is seemingly a completely different project to the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake that was announced a few years ago and indefinitely delayed. Who knows what’s going on with that, though the lead developer was changed to Ubisoft Montreal.
