In the current gaming client, disc space can be at a premium — between massive installs and long-running games, players may be struggling for space to hold everything they want to play. Not only that, but those of us cursed with slow internet speeds may dread the download process, especially on a game like Diablo 4: clocking in at over a whopping 80 GB, Diablo certainly can't claim to be a small game.
That being said, one easy trick can help mitigate some of these issues: forgoing the download of High-Resolution Assets cuts the download size in half! These assets, which primarily benefit players using 4k monitors and Ultra settings, take up an enormous 39.6 GB of disc space. While the game will play perfectly fine without them, those looking for the best visual experiences will have to forgo a quick download for these assets.
Don't worry though, if you've already downloaded these files and want to remove them, you can! On the Battle.net Launcher, click the Gear Icon on the Diablo 4 page and navigate to Modify Install. On this screen, you can then click into «Modify Install» next to Game Content, uncheck the Assets box, and then Start Update.
