Persona fans are already divided over Persona 3 Reload's new look, with some saying that it looks "soulless" and others praising the water-themed menu transitions.
One of the worst-kept secrets in the gaming industry over the past few years has been that Atlus is set to release a remake of Persona 3. It's been clear for some time now that remake is indeed happening, with many speculating that it was set to be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Showcase, but all that theorising went out the window on Thursday when someone accidentally uploaded the reveal trailer to Instagram, seemingly spoiling one of the event's biggest surprises.

Although the leaked trailer is a little blurry, it does give us a very good look at the style that the remake is going for, and it's one that massively resembles Persona 5. It looks like we're going to be waiting until the Xbox Showcase for our best look at the game, but the new approach has already divided fans, with some loving the inspiration from Persona 5 and others thinking that it works against the game.
On the one hand, there are some Persona fans that think that this new look is "soulless", with particular annoyance going towards how the UI has clearly been inspired by Persona 5. One of the most popular examples comes from Twitter user Dastanovich_, who pointed out that the combat UI doesn't work here because Persona 3 "purposefully made its UI look like a gun cylinder", something that's much more muted in the remake in favour of a more circular design.
