To the casual observer, Sonic Origins Plus looked like it was going to be a pretty neat updated package with some nice retro additions, a bunch of DLC, and even a new character included. Gameplay has inevitably leaked, however, and some fans have taken umbrage with SEGA's usage of Game Gear-emulated titles for the collection and the unfortunate state of its audio presentation.
The bundled titles contained within appear way too zoomed-in and are made more difficult to play as a result of the emulation process. It looks like the same care and attention was paid to the Blue Blur's iconic soundtrack, which appears to shock even the sharer.
