The first Access-Ability Summer Showcase has recently ended.
The 45-minute show highlighted the efforts being made to make 15 recently released and upcoming games more accessible to players with disabilities.
“Basically, I want this to be a space where disabled gamers can get in on the excitement of finding out about new and upcoming video games, with less risk of finding out later that a cool-looking game that you’ve seen today isn’t going to be something that you can play when it actually releases,” host Laura Kate Dale explained.
The full Showcase can be viewed below. There are also versions with English Audio Descriptions, BSL interpretation and ASL interpretation for those who need it.

Sony recently released new information and photos of its upcoming Access Controller, which is intended to help players with disabilities to play games more easily and comfortably.
Xbox also has its own Adaptive Controller, which allows players to connect external devices like switches, buttons, mounts and joysticks to customise a control method that best suits their playing needs.
