Developer FuturLab was once known for its slick action series Velocity, but nowadays it's all about PowerWash Simulator. Initially releasing in early access on PC, this chill game about hosing down dirty objects and buildings is now available pretty much everywhere, and it's clearly been a big success. In fact, the game has reached a new milestone — to date, more than 7 million players have enjoyed its surprisingly compelling cleaning.
«With over 7 million players, we are honoured that so many people have found their zen with PowerWash Simulator,» says FuturLab's co-CEO Kirsty Rigden. «Since we launched into Early Access, the support for our soothing sim has been immense, and we are extremely grateful that this has continued to strengthen past release.»
The news arrives alongside the appointment of Steve Tinkler as CFO of the studio. He has an impressive CV, with previous roles at Epic Games and Fall Guys dev Mediatonic.
It seems FuturLab is far from done with PowerWash Simulator, too. The game, which is clearly very popular, has received a couple of crossover DLC packs that bring Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy into its universe. More than that, though, the studio has revealed a content roadmap for the rest of 2023, so there's plenty heading our way.
