Porsche and Apple could be onto something! Based on a recent report, Porsche CEO Oliver Blume has said that Porsche had discussed exciting common projects with Apple but no decision has been made on that front yet. The report also mentioned that the German sports car manufacturer is also considering a possibility of entering Formula 1, but no formal decision on that front has been made yet. Apple is yet to comment on this development.
Apple has been long rumoured to work on its own electric vehicle that could break cover towards the end of this decade. While there have been several rumours of Apple joining hands with several automakers, there has been no official confirmation on the same. The only car-related product Apple offers is its Apple carPlay service. The deal with Porsche could be on developing smart in-car infotainment services.
While Apple is considering projects with automakers, it has been busy updating some of its more popular mass-market products lately.
