ACE SPEC cards are a fairly new gameplay mechanic to return to the after its original debut back in 2012. ACE SPEC cards in are unique assets that often represent Item, Pokémon Tool, or Special Energy cards. In general, the rule of thumb is that only one ACE SPEC card is allowed per deck, forcing players to be additionally careful when picking.
ACE SPEC cards often represent powerful and match-changing cards, such as the Master Ball, which allows players to search for whatever Pokémon they want in their deck. The Hero’s Cape, on the other hand, grants the equipped Pokémon a whopping +100 HP bonus, which can significantly impact how difficult it will be for the opponent to take them out. Now, one of the new ACE SPEC cards arriving with the Japanese expansion, which will help build the expansion for , has been revealed, and it seems like it will have a special bonus effect.
Among several new cards that were revealed for the set, which includes a new Palafin ex and a Dragapult ex, is a new ACE SPEC Special Energy card. As reported by , this card, which will eventually make its way into the expansion, is called Legacy Energy. When it is attached to a Pokémon, Legacy Energy is capable of providing every type of Energy currently usable within ’s rules, but only 1 Energy can be given to that Pokémon at a time.
