The Pokémon Company has just announced that the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet DLC, 'The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero', will introduce a newly discovered Pokémon.
The news was announced through an official press release just now. According to the press release, this new Pokémon brings to mind the Legendary reptilian light-blue turtle Pokémon, Terapagos. The new mysterious Pokémon also appeared during the Pokémon anime "Pokémon Horizons: The Series" in Japan last week. We've included some shots from the anime and images of the Pokémon down below.
"This unknown Pokémon is reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, but its name and true nature are shrouded in mystery", the official press release reads. "It is small in stature and not particularly strong, but when push comes to shove, it can crystallize the energy in its body to form a protective shield. Apparently, it can also assume a dormant state when it feels that its life is in danger by pulling its head, limbs, and tail into its shell and making itself look like a jewel."
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was announced as part of a two-part expansion during a recent Pokémon Presents broadcast. As said, the expansion is a two-part expansion, including 'The Teal Mask", and 'The Indigo Disk". The first part will launch this fall with 'The Indigo Disk" releasing this winter.
