Niantic is no stranger to making controversial decisions regarding Pokemon Go, particularly when it comes to rolling back popular features. Deciding to heavily nerf remote raid passes might well be the most controversial decision it has made to date, though. With no official response from the studio regarding the backlash, a tweet making light of it was quickly deleted as Niantic realized posting it was absolutely the wrong call.
“The reviews for going outside are in,” Niantic tweeted, jokingly claiming critics had given it 95 percent and it had received a perfect audience score, signing off with #getoutside for good measure. The irony of claiming going outside has a perfect audience score was quickly laid bare as the reactions to the tweet were so fierce, it was deleted before a lot of Pokemon Go players even had the chance to see it. Lucky for them, and unfortunately for Niantic, very little on the internet is ever deleted forever.

A screenshot of the deleted tweet has now been posted on the Pokemon Go subreddit, allowing players to continue sharing what they think of Niantic's response to complaints about its remote raid pass changes. That appears to be the biggest issue most of you have. That this was the first time Niantic has publicly ackowledged the complaints, and it was mocking those who have been making them. Evidence that the studio really is listening but is choosing to ignore its players, making the whole situation decidedly worse.
