Capcom has confirmed that Street Fighter 6's first year of DLC will add Rashid, Ed, A.K.I., and Akuma, confirming the art book leaks that took place last year.
Not to be outdone by the various gaming showcases that have taken place over the last week (including Final Fantasy 16 and The Division, just to name a few), Capcom just got done showing off a detailed look at everything that Street Fighter 6 has to offer, including its World Tour and Battle Hub modes, character customisation, and more. The showcase also promised a few surprises, and boy did they deliver.

Beyond shadow-dropping a demo that's available right now on PS5, Capcom also confirmed the first year of content that's coming to Street Fighter 6. The first four fighters being added to the game are Street Fighter 5's Rashid and Ed, newcomer A.K.I., and fan-favourite rival of Ryu, Akuma.
Specific release dates weren't announced for any of the fighters, but we do have release windows for each of them. Rashid will be added first during Summer, with A.K.I. following in Autumn. Then, Winter 2024 (meaning January to March) will see the addition of Ed, before Akuma gets added to the game all the way in Spring of 2024. That's a long way to wait for arguably the most anticipated character out of the four.
If any of these names seem familiar (and they should seeing as three out of four of them are pretty popular series veterans), that's because they were all leaked as part of the game thanks to concept art all the way back in June when hardly any of the characters had been announced.
