We're still over a month away from the release of Street Fighter 6, but in typical fighting game style, Capcom has just confirmed the game's first wave of DLC characters. It begins with the return of Street Fighter V favourite Rashid in summer 2023, followed by newcomer AKI in autumn / fall 2023. After that, Ed is making a comeback in winter 2023, and finally, the mighty Akuma inevitably puts in an appearance in spring 2024. These four additional fighters will bring the game's roster total up to 22.
Of course, we doubt the developer will stop there (unless Street Fighter 6 somehow devolves into a complete disaster). Popular fighting games have long life cycles these days, so we're fully expecting at least three or four seasons of DLC support here, given the project's clearly big budget.
Are any of your mains making a comeback in the first DLC wave? Wonder if any actual Ed mains exist in the comments section below.
Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
Let's GO!
