Pokemon unleashed its first wave of adorable and incredibly soft and squishy squishmallows on the world last year, kicking off the collection with four different designs. Gengar, Snorlax, Togepi, and, of course, Pikachu. Finally, Pokemon has confirmed it will be expanding that collection, revealing two more squishmallow designs. Piplup is joining the squishy crew, and Pikachu is getting a second design. In the new one, he'll be winking.
Maybe a little cheeky that Pokemon is giving us a second Pikachu with only five other 'mons getting the squishmallow treatment so far, but hey, it's Pikachu. Like it or not, the little yellow mouse is the most instantly recognizable Pokemon in the world having been the face of the TV show for more than 25 years. Plus, with Pokemon squishmallows selling out as soon as they hit physical and digital store shelves, you know more Pokemon will be added to the collection soon enough.

If you already have a Pikachu squishmallow and you're only interested in adding an entirely new Pokemon to your collection, then Piplup is the Pokemon for you. The newest Pokemon to become a squishmallow so far as the Water-type starter is the first outside of the first two generations to be turned into a squishmallow. A fine choice by Pokemon as Piplup is pretty darn adorable. The only downside here is the penguin Pokemon's soulless squishmallow gaze. Not sure I like the idea of waking up to that in the middle of the night.
Yes, I know there's already a Pikachu squishmallow, but this one's a winking Pikachu squishmallow. Even cuter than the original, and if you want your squishmallow collection to be complete, you're going to need to grab one.
